ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

The Bookkeeper is an important member of the Snow Peak USA Accounting team, responsible for the recording and maintenance of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Check and verify source documents such as invoices and receipts
Reconcile corporate credit cards with employees ensuring all receipts and transactions are accurately documented
Reconcile bank deposits
Maintain filing system to support financial records
Maintain office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt and delivering supplies to work stations
Provide support to fellow employees through knowledge sharing, helping with tasks and/or assisting in customer interactions
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
High level of attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
Strong organization and communication skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1 to 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the outdoor, apparel, or home goods industries
Associate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other office software programs
Customer service, clerical and administrative experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
Knowledge of SAGE ERP and/or SAP Software an advantage
Understanding of an outdoor lifestyle and trends in outdoor apparel and fashion
