Digital Sales & Marketing Manager

We are currently recruiting for an Digital Sales & Marketing Manager to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The primary responsibility of this person will be to manage all aspects of Benchmade websites; including strategy, marketing, sales, email, UX, site design, development and vendor services. This person will lead a world-class consumer website to increase sales at retail and drive online direct sales. This role will also be responsible for direct management of the Digital Marketing Specialist, who is responsible for social media and branded content and creative for Benchmade.com. Manages both B2B and B2C sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all digital executions both B2C and B2B
• Responsible for strategy and future business planning of digital platforms; aligned with company objectives
• Sets ambitious goals, defines KPIs and designs strategies to achieve high performance for both brand and sales
• Manages Benchmade.com (B2C) site
• Manages B2B dealer customer extranet site
• Manages Benchmade Custom Knife platform and all related functionality and design
• Maximizes brand differentiation, preference and loyalty in alignment with Benchmade brand position and image
• Accountable for brand representation on all digital platforms, including social media and email
• Develops and maintains industry leading product journey on all sites
• Drives sales of product to consumer end-users on Benchmade.com site (B2C) and Custom Knife platform
• Facilitates communications on Benchmade dealer extranet site (B2B) and may facilitate orders in partnership with Sales Operations
• Responsible for User Experience on all sites
• Merchandises products and manages PDP pages on all sites
• Responsible for features, functionality and enhancements on all sites; includes UAT and QA testing
• Executes Benchmade email program; works with contributors in Sales and Marketing and others where appropriate
• Develops and executes growth strategy for email file
• Manages work with outside suppliers and vendor partners; includes developers, designers, service providers, etc.
• Directly manages Digital Marketing Specialist and works with to maximize brand awareness, recognition, preference and engagement across all digital marketing platforms, including websites, email and social media vehicles.
• Works with Sales, Sales Operations and Trade Marketing Manager to maximize effectiveness of dealer extranet site

Qualifications:

• 4 year degree in marketing or a related field required;
• 7+ years’ experience managing the marketing and sales of branded websites with ecommerce functionality;
• Demonstrated success running Magento Enterprise ecommerce platforms;
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage exceptional digital brand experiences;
• Strong background in user experience, site design and development;
• Strong direct management experience;
• Proven track record effectively managing vendor relationships with timely and accurate execution of deliverables
• Knowledge of HTML and related web code;
• Exceptional project management skills;
• Strong ability to collaborate and encourage cross-functional efforts;
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, superiors, the general public, and others;
• Demonstrates exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities;
• Capable public speaker, competent in developing and running presentations and meetings
• Knowledge of standard office administration practices and procedures, including business correspondence formatting and the use of standard office equipment;
• Set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up on assignments with little to no direction;
• Interpret and implement policies and procedures related to the department;
• Must have the ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and discretion;
• Knowledge of and ability to use Adobe design software a plus;
• Experience with business intelligence and business operations tools. Syspro and Cognos a plus;
• Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access.
