eCommerce Manager


The eCommerce Manager will be the owner of all direct-to-consumer channels for VSSL. By nature, the ideal candidate prioritizes VSSL’s end consumer in every decision made and continuously strives to maximize the consumer’s experience with the VSSL brand and its products at every touch point. The candidate who will thrive in this role is one that: has multi-channel and multi-platform DTC experience; is an expert in SEO/SEM, site optimization and conversion tactics; can implement best practices to drive long-term customer loyalty; delivers on revenue and profitability goals; thrives in small businesses and fast-paced environments; and can navigate between long-term strategic planning and relentless execution of day-to-day operations. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Execute premium brand and merchandising strategies across all digital platforms to drive omni-channel brand experience and profitable online channel growth, including Shopify, Amazon, Pro/Industry, Kickstarter, and 3rd party retailer platforms; 
  • Achieve annual DTC revenue and profit growth objectives; 
  • Routinely conduct site audits across all platforms and systematically deploy optimization tactics to elevate site experience, drive conversion and increase average order value; 
  • Continuously drive effective segmentation strategies based on target audiences, regions, and behaviors to maximize engagement and conversion with both new and existing consumers; 
  • Provide reporting to internal teams and Leadership Team with actionable solutions on product and consumer insights, and site performance; 
  • Develop a commercial road map and execute expansion into new channels, including Pro/Industry, Corporate, and International sites; 
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to develop seasonal content plans to enhance product and brand storytelling across digital platforms and consumer touch points;

  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to develop to execute monthly campaigns across all digital platforms; 
  • Continuously leverage 3rd party solutions to achieve KPI’s and deliver cost- effective solutions to enhance site performance and consumer experience; 
  • Work with Wholesale and across all channels to ensure alignment in strategy, branding, and pricing; act as key stakeholder to inform VSSL’s seasonal MAP and online seller policies; 
  • Maintain rolling web development roadmap and manage web development partners to ensure site performance and optimization.
