Merchandising Assistant

As a Merchandising Assistant, you will be responsible for merchandising support to the team on product boards, PLM, merchandise reporting and samples. You should be a Brand Ambassador at all times –  highly engaged and able to represent the passion for our brand, our products and our company.

Essential Functions:

Product Management:

  • Style creation and setup for all style/colors
  • System maintenance of seasonal assortment including marker and line changes
  • Visual assortment board maintenance/updates
  • Line Plan document management – style list, pricing, pyramid etc.

Assist Merch Mgr in Assortment Management:

  • Web merchandising: review product sort before and after launch, weekly review of website including product sort, pricing, feature buckets
  • Retail merchandising: review floorset document, keep up-to-date on merchandise assortment and location in-store
  • Check copy for catalog and web
  • Assist in preparation for all creative, web, product review and recap meetings

Analysis Support:

  • Selling report setup including style comp selling recap setup/maintenance, and any ad hoc selling analysis needs
  • Competitive pricing analysis on seasonal basis

Sample Management:

  • Organization of merch sample racks, meeting room setups and weekly sample rankings

Requirements:

  • College degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 yrs corporate environment experience in related field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of FileMaker and Adobe Illustrator a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate throughout an organization.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
