Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with Division staff to develop and execute effective, creative strategies to increase awareness of natural resource issues and agency initiatives, encourage stewardship, and increase participation in fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing and other outdoor activities.

Establish Division priorities in conjunction with agency leadership, other divisions, Commission, Governor’s Office, and others. Ensure that the planning, design, evaluation and implementation of statewide information and education programs are consistent with those priorities, comply with department, state and federal policies, and are executed in effective and efficient manner.

Develop and manage the Division budget to ensure resources are available to successfully implement programs, plans and meet agency priorities.

Share supervision responsibilities with the Division Administrator for staff in the Information Section and Education Section responsible for outreach and recruitment, retention and reactivation efforts. Initiatives include media relations, outreach, social media and web, print and publication design, internal communications, and hunter, angler, archery and outdoor skills education.

Create a work environment that supports the agencies affirmative action goals and objectives and recognizes the value of individual and cultural differences.

Participate in national program-related professional groups and institutions as required to maximize effectiveness of agency’s efforts.
