You’re an experienced Retail Merchandise Planner who enjoys working with a group, but also knows how to play solo. Planning a profitable and productive story with collaboration from cross-functional partners is your sweet spot. You enjoy building sound business and financial plans as well as developing and communicating strategy that aligns with future opportunities. The same old, same old doesn’t work for you; you’re driven to reimagine how the team gets from point A to point B. You know that your decisions will directly affect sales, margin, inventory, profit, and other metrics, so you’ve developed an eye for retail product trends and can quickly apply these trends to effective financial decision-making.

  • Proactively report on the health of the business, and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans regularly.
  • Innovate new ways for the team to look at data to drive revenue.
  • Develop plans by analysing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities. Continually evaluate plans for potential improvement.
  • Analyze and reflect current trends in performance of strategy based on actual sales performance; revise as needed.
  • Make recommendations for key financial decisions to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity.
  • Manage receipts and adjust inventory flow.
  • Collaboratively participate in a team environment that encourages individual and team performance through consistent information, sharing of best practices, and development of systems knowledge.
  • Demonstrates shifting paradigms to drive results, and encourages others to do the same.
  • Provides feedback to allocation team to support incorporating store performance into the assortment and allocation processes.
