Event Recap: 2026 Switchback Trade Show

Prosper Portland Athletic & Outdoor and Business Oregon sponsored a group booth at June’s Switchback Trade Show in New Orleans, Louisiana. More than 1,250 attendees and retailers from 46 states and 16 countries came together to explore new brands, make connections, and learn about the challenges and opportunities facing the outdoor industry. The Oregon booth was a standout among state-sponsored booths and featured 6 brands from across the state, including Rustek, Snowshoe Leather Care, Nuusol, Kitworks, DrinkTanks, and Eyeonize.

Greg Mills, founder of Kitworks attested, “As an emerging company in the outdoor industry, Switchback was a great experience for us to introduce the brand and have quality conversations with new retail partners as well as outdoor media and other brands.”

Statewide industry partners Oregon Outdoor Alliance and Bend Outdoor Worx lent their support by coaching participants on trade show best practices and leading discussions alongside other SOBAN (State Outdoor Business Alliance Network) members on the Trailheads mainstage.

“It was such a great opportunity to get to attend Switchback with an all-star lineup of emerging Oregon brands at a fraction the cost of attending on our own,” said Clayton Hume of Rustek. “We made some great connections with both small and national retail representatives. We’ll definitely be back.”
