Thanks to everyone who joined us August 30th for our Summer Event at Revolution Hall featuring the presentation of SneakerWeek and the announcement of the finalists to our Kick Flicks Amateur Film Contest!
Here are a few photo highlights of the night featuring great people, great weather and the spectacular view from Revolution Hall roof deck. Please share your favorite moments with us on Instagram: @aoyp_portland #aoypsummer
Jody, the AOYP Committee Chair, welcomes the crowd and kicks off the presentation portion of the event before handing it over to Herbert for the premiere of the Kick Flick Film Contest Finalists.
In addition to announcing the vision and line up behind SneakerWeek and the finalists of the Kick Flicks Film Contest, Herbert also presented the trailer for Pensole’s LACE UP: THE ULTIMATE SNEAKER CHALLENGE. LACE UP is a new reality tv show premiering on YouTube Red* on September 13th. Joining the likes of Leverage, Grim and The Librarians, this new reality show will be filmed in Portland, featuring our local footwear industry and influence. The show will feature 12 competitors on four teams who will compete in a version of Pensole’s master class program. The winner will get the opportunity to work on product creation at Adidas.
The show will be hosted by Adande “sWooZie” Thorne and guests include Macklemore, Jamie Chung, Stan Smith, Anthony Anderson, and Fetty Wap.
*YouTube Red is a paid membership that gives users access to original movies and series.
It was a beautiful night for networking, celebrating our local talented community, making new friends and connections, and taking in the beautiful Portland skyline for a summer sunset!
Thanks to our platinium sponsors, Aquent/Vitamin T for supporting AOYP and attending the event!
Thanks to KEEN for donating Free Shoe passes to our raffle prize and congrats to our lucky winners – Andrew of W+K and Erika of Intuitive Digital.
