Calling all Storytellers: Kick Flicks Amateur Film Contest

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with SneakerWeek for The Kick Flicks amateur film contest!

Kick Flicks is a 3-day film festival dedicated to showcasing independent and influential films that highlight and help shape modern sneaker culture. SneakerWeek and Prosper Portland’s AOYP are looking for talented film makers who are passionate about storytelling and cinematography. This contest allows film makers to show off their skills by using sneakers as a medium to tell the story of Sports, Music, Art or Design.

TO ENTER THE CONTEST:

  1. Create a 5-6 minute short film that involves sneakers within the scope of the four SneakerWeek pillars (Design, Art, Sports and Music).
  2. Upload a 30 second trailer to Youtube and email the link to info@sneakerweekpdx.com by Thursday, August 24th.
  3. If your films is selected to make the semifinals, you’ll be invited to present your trailer at Revolution Hall, August 30th for AOYP’s Summer Extravaganza.
  4. The top 3 semifinalists will be selected August 30th to receive a cash prize and debut their entire film at the KickFlicks Film Festival September 18th-20th.

SneakerWeek was founded by Herbert Smith, Marketing Designer at PENSOLE, as a way to showcase Portland as a premier destination for art, music, and design. It’s a celebration of those people who live here and help influence the rest of the world through footwear.
