Prosper Portland Athletic and Outdoor’s Women in Footwear Design (WIFD) Committee hosted its first event of the year on April 17th. The gathering, held at Wildcraft Studios, featured two creative stations and gave participants a chance to meet others in Portland’s footwear industry as they learned a new craft.
Women in Footwear Design started in 2024 when local footwear industry insiders came together to create a platform to provide resources and opportunities for women in the footwear design industry. WIFD intends to build community through events and programs that create space for peer to peer connection and support.
