Sea to Summit Sales Team Expands With New Hires and West Coast Sales Office Opening
BOULDER, CO (January 14, 2013) – Sea to Summit, manufacturer of adventure travel equipment and lightweight backpacking gear, is pleased to announce new additions to their sales team. In addition to new personnel, Sea to Summit is also opening a west coast sales office in Portland, Oregon in early February 2013.
“The expansion of Sea to Summit’s in-house sales force and the opening of our Portland office will allow us to provide an even greater level of service for our retail partners in the western states,” explains sales manager, Josh Simpson.
Brian Fisher, an Ohio transplant, will be based in the Boulder office. His background in specialty outdoor retail sales – as a store manager at Outdoor Source and most recently at Whittaker Mountaineering – coupled with his passion for mountaineering and gear is the perfect fit for Sea to Summit. His sales territory will covers the Rocky Mountain region, including Montana and Idaho.
Matt Ellsworth of central Michigan will also be based in the Boulder office. His background as a sales person at REI, as well as managing climbing walls both in the US and abroad gives Ellsworth a customer-focused approach to selling gear. He’s also an avid rock climber, skier, yoga nut and runner, so he’s fit right into the Boulder scene. Matt’s sales territory will include the Southwest and the Midwest.
Bryan Hays has many years of experience in the outdoor industry, including working as a sales representative for Yakima and as a retail store manager for Patagonia in Southern California, where he spent 10 exciting years. Hays also spent a year pursuing his culinary passions in the restaurant industry before accepting the Sea to Summit in-house sales position. Bryan will be based in the new west coast sales office.
The Portland office is slated to open February 4, 2013. The address is:
826 NW Hoyt Street
Portland, OR 97209
