PORTLAND, OR- August 14, 2014-
Local A&O startup Outdoor Project, announced today that they have been selected to be a part of the Portland Incubator Experiment’s 2014 class.
Each year, the Portland Incubator Experiment selects a handful of promising local startups and moves them into a collaborative workspace near parent company Wieden + Kennedy in Portland’s Pearl District. Over the course of an intensive three-month program, the startups receive mentorship, strategy sessions, access to Wieden + Kennedy’s creative teams, and other expert guidance. The startups also receive a $20,000 investment and free use of the office space for the year.
“We couldn’t be prouder to have been selected to be a part of the Portland Incubator Experiment,” says Outdoor Project CEO Tyson Gillard. “Not only are we excited about all the tools and advice that Wieden + Kennedy is offering, but we’re happy to be surrounded by such a talented group of peers.”
The six companies and three solo-founder startups have already arrived at the Pearl District offices of PIE, and will be featured this fall in the annual Demo Days presentation in late October.
“Being selected to be part of PIE this year validates all the hard work we’ve been doing to build Outdoor Project, and we can’t wait to see how this program helps us continue to grow,” concludes Gillard.
