Kinship fashion coworking space highlighted in Portland Business Journal

Envisioned as a fashion coworking studio where industry workers can come to connect, create and inspire others, Kinship opened its 2,500-square-foot studio space in Southeast Portland in August of this year. Founded by Gaia Giladi, co-founder of Hilos, Kinship aims to address a need for physical space in which fashion designers, makers, writers, models and others can connect personally and professionally. Giladi’s work with Kinship was recently profiled in the Portland Business Journal.

“It was really important for me for it to be a collaborative space where it’s not just designers and sewists and pattern makers. You can find your marketer there too, or you can make a friend that’s in photography that can help you on your next shoot, or you can talk to a graphic designer about your branding, and just have this ecosystem where we can all help each other out,” Giladi said.
