Given the current economy, Prosper Portland is reevaluating the business support they provide to cluster industries, like Portland Athletic & Outdoor, and we need your feedback! Please complete our survey by June 28th. The survey is voluntary and takes approximately 3-5 minutes to complete (depending on the length of your open-ended responses).
Your feedback will be used to develop cluster action plans over the next three to five years. Thus your input will assist with determining priorities of business grants, trade missions, peer-to-peer initiatives and more within this industry.
Why focus on industry clusters? Prosper Portland focuses on four key clusters because they are the engines of the Portland economy. They represent the majority of competitive traded-sector firms in the region, the areas in which Portland has an “ecosystem” that can nurture high-growth startups, and the assets that are likely to attract outside investment. They are, and will continue to be, the drivers of high-quality job and wealth creation in the region. Put simply, Portland cannot create an equitable economy unless it involves our leading industry clusters.
These four leading clusters are Athletic & Outdoor, Green Cities (Clean Tech), Metals & Machinery, and Technology & Media.
Prosper Portland creates economic growth and opportunity for Portland. Our vision is to make Portland one of the most globally competitive, healthy, and equitable cities in the world by investing in job creation, encouraging broad economic prosperity, and fostering great places throughout the city. We aspire to be a workplace of choice with passionate staff excelling in an open and empowering environment and sharing a commitment to our collective success.
Portland A&O powered by Prosper Portland aims to support the success of Oregon’s 800+ Athletic and Outdoor firms through community, peer-to-peer learning, events, and programming.
